Previous Employment Summary
I began as a Los Angeles County Deputy Public Defender for the five year period from 1973 through 1978. This was the finest experience possible for criminal defense practice. I tried at least 50 jury trials, dozens of court trials, countless motions, at least two hundred preliminary hearings and juvenile trials. I was assigned to many of the Public Defender's offices throughout Los Angeles County. Then, after extended travel, I became an associate in the William J. McCarthy law firm in Kona, Hawaii from 1979 to 1980 where I practiced both civil and criminal defense. I then returned to Southern California and opened my own practice in 1981.

I have volunteered as pro tem Judge in the Westside courts for over 20 years hearing both civil and criminal matters and have received numerous commendations for my service. I am a member of a select group of attorneys throughout the U.S who network with each other on important legal developments.
